About Us

The Yellow Pail Project was started in 2017 by four women who volunteer at a local food pantry.  The pantry serves hundreds of families in need and at times the pantry shelves have been sparse.

“We know that the desire for the community to help those with food insecurities is strong, but people’s lives are busy and we needed to come up with a way to make donating easy.”

                        -Joanne Abbate

Founder and President of The Yellow Pail Project

The organization's main purpose is to help those with food insecurities by helping to keep food pantry shelves stocked with food.  It also provides an easy way for people to donate and a way for people to serve their community.

One pail at a time, we can make a difference.
